QR codes have long been a solution in search of a problem that no one was interested in finding. Well Snapchat have tweaked the idea to make them act as ‘Follow’ buttons. I think the idea might catch on. If this, or something like it, gets integrated with other social media platforms you could have a one click solution for people who want to follow all your stuff. Something to watch.
Each user now has their Snapchat-branded QR code on their profile that can be opened by pressing the yellow ghost icon atop the camera. If another user scans someone’s Snapcode by focusing their Snapchat app’s camera on it, they automatically follow that person.
